Bought a IHI stock turbo setup from a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata and retrofitted it onto a 1995 Miata.

My old Greddy Miata lives on! I used the 8:1 disk Vortech FMU from it to squeeze a few more drops of fuel.

My turbo setup in that giant box plus I had to pick up groceries to keep my wife happy.

Sandwich plate installed. I had conniptions when I discovered that 95' Miatas did not have a oil source on the block. I saw that it was blocked off from factory. I shed a tear that day and bought the sandwich adapter (M20x1.5mm fittings) with a stainless steel oil feed that mated to a MSM oil feed (M10x1.5mm fitting) The stock MSM oil feed line should have gone directly into the block (but it's nonexistent)

Tight fitment. I retained PS/AC and factory cruise control boo-yah!

Oil pan tapped for my oil return. I decided against using the MSM oil pan because it's a greater pain in the ass than just tapping the stock oil pan. I know I cut corners but I gave myself 3 days to do all this and it's my daily driver. (I realize after it's all said and done how incredibly stupid I still am. I am not proud of this at all)

Mock fitment. OMG, it doesn't fit well. The compressor inlet interferes with the stock waterpump inlet neck.

Close-up of my jerry rigged tap tool. See the blue things? They are holding the tap in place so I can use the only drill I own.

My 95' Laguna Blue baby. With the top down I can carry infinite amount of boxes. (I had made this argument with my wife and proved to her that it can be practical)

Ugly stock header wants to be removed. (I almost stripped a bolt in the process even with dangerous amounts of nut buster)

It's hard to take pictures and hack off the coolant feed at the same time, like I said, require ambidextrous hands.

Waterpump inlet neck hacked off with angle grinder, be careful not to cut the pipe underneath it. Requires some finesse.
