WTB 1.8 engine or block
I am looking to buy a 1.8.engine or just the block. I am going to build a forged engine for my 97 Miata so I am fine with just the block or a high mileage engine. If you have just the block that's fine too, I'll just pull the head off mine and slap it on there. I am located in Savannah GA and would prefer to pick it up instead of shipping.
Cheers.

I have a nb1 block, was on my car before I swapped for a forged block I had built. Ran great before being pulled.
I'm in Jacksonville, a couple hours south of you. Looking for $300 picked up.

Check with Ethan at Valiants racing on waters ave. He may have one he would be willing to sell.
When you get that thing done and dialed in you should try it out at Savannah river dragway. Would be good to have another turbo miata that runs out there occasionally other than me. They are closed for repairs and due to covid scare atm but should open back up sometime next month I hear.

Bad news: I bought this block from a guy in Chicago-land who was using it as a "science experiment" to find a creative way to deal with blow-by pressure in the crankcase. He literally drilled and tapped holes in the block where the oil drain passages are. There is one hole that has a plug in it that is JB Welded closed, and another that is tapped for 1/2 NPT that can be plugged. I only bought the block from him because I needed a crank and the price was cheap. That might discourage you from going any further. Otherwise, the block is in good shape.
Good news; I've kept the cylinders oiled, so there's no rust in there, and the bore is stock, so you've got plenty of meat to go to 84mm.
I understand if you want to pass on this "opportunity".
