As have others in the past, having a long wait hearing back from Maruha. Would be nice if they would post these on their English site. Would be nice if a US supplier would stock these little beauties.
All that blah blah blah, but the real purpose of this thread... Do you have a pair to offer up?
I have not purchased from you before, so please advise which payment method is best for you. This email address is also my PayPal account if that is a useful way to send payment.
Here is my shipping address to help with estimating shipping cost:
XXX..."
I haven't dealt with Japanese businesses a whole lot, but they may not want to respond if there is no stock available? Maybe requesting that they add you to the list of interested parties for the next available batch will get an email. BTW, they do use PayPal, and the shipping estimate gets rolled into the quote.
Good luck. I think they are worth the hassle, but, again, for whatever reason my order was super easy.
In the end, delivered price will likely be the same Maruha vs ISC. Looks like this has become a discussion thread, rather than WTB, but that is fine with me. My real question is if I wi even need these. Or better phrased, if they will actually yield any additional travel, because I presently have NB top hats but the shorter NA shock bodies.
I really should measure clearances before I purchase, but I may be up against a time constraint.
I have NB hats on NA shock bodies with the Speedthane bump stops cut to around 46mm, and currently FM springs. A sharp bump will bottom out hard, though stiffer springs would likely help that. I had ISCs before and it wasn't really an issue. The only real reason I switched is because I had a clunk in the front and couldn't discern whether it was the mount (the stock diameter springs aren't really located well on the ISCs) or a shock (which it was).
I tested the existing front set-up. It has RED Speedthane bumpstop cut to 1.8" tall. I removed bumpstop and spring and jacked suspension up so the shock was about 3/4" from lower washer. There was very little clearance between tire and fender with wheel turned. So, I have concluded that I don't need, really, do not want, to use extended hats on the front. I put the new front sway and springs in and so the front is done.
