Long story short we were doing the timing belt. Went up there to do it with a friend.
Was supposed to be pretty quick and easy but in all reality it turned out to be a nightmare. After an hour breaking bolts attempting to get the front seal, we just said screw it. We put the car back together, pull it out of the garage.
Now the car won't come out of gear. The shifter is in the 5th possition but the tranny is in reverse. Won't budge. We took the tranny out and somehow it had "popped" out of the shift linkage. Don't ask me how, its a mystery. We magically fixed it and popped it back in place.
Put the car back together and its about 10pm. I have to get home, but now because of our rush, timing is retarded and I'm running a super high idle.bad news bears. Worst roadtrip ever.
