I tried to find some some as well. None out there except maybe Treasure Coast perhaps. I had the proper middle ones but fabricated my own rears from aluminum where they are supposed to grab the rear fender edge. I think it's in my build page. Either way liberally spray RustCheck or equivalent in those drilled holes
I can't find the picture of the home made aluminum bracket I made.
My bracket was a 2 - 2.5" long piece with a hole to mount it to the fender by threaded bolt (metric of course because it's the right thing to do) and the other one for the side sill mount. It had 2 tangs/fangs on it so that it would not sag when bolted to the fender. It doesn't sag at all - solid.
I posted a thread way back a year or so in the wanted section for the OEM tab and included a picture of it so look at that for an idea. I never could find one so I made one - ugly but functional
I did have to drill into the fender well though. I painted it after. Then I coated the hole and the bolt I used into the hole and the bracket with tons of acoustic sealant RTV style goo. I put on soooo much that no oxygen will ever reach that fender hole thus no rust.
Do a search on the Maita.net site and eventually you find a person that put up a pdf of the OEM templates that mazda gives you. I printed it off as my guide. Those show the drilling locations, but they assume you have the thin 8 or 10 inch long rectangular bracket that mounts to the car then mechanically allows the side sill to hang on to. Without that you'll have to improvise some more - but hey look what that did for Jim Carrey ( He's Metric as well BTW)
It pushes onto the fender and grabs it. I looked and looked and looked and couldn't find one anywhere by any clip maker. Made my own from aluminum and instead of grabbing the fender I had to drill a hole in it.
You probably did. You've always stood by your word as far as I csn remember. A trait to look up to. Thanks for reminding me. Ha I totally forgot.
I still have to put on my passenger side lip but my diy brackets should match. Better used by someone who hasn't already drilled into their fender.
Anyone out there have trim they don't want? It's bad for your aero. You don't want the trim. You never really liked it. You want to sell me your oem brackets for all the trim pieces. You want hundreds of dollars plus shipping costs.
