According to Phil's tire service the RR is going to be hitting the shores this month in the 225/45/15 size.

Should be a great option in between the NT01 and Hoosiers.

I know you think I'm full of $hit all the time (and with reason I suppose) but honest to god, I have a buddy with an LS swapped NB that is in the market for sub $800 coilovers. His car is a street car only, I had recommended the FM VMAXX's to him a few months ago before the news of the TECNAs ever hit the interwebz.
I actually told him about them this morning and linked him to the TECNA thread on here.
Also, I have a set of standard VMAXX and I'm not especially happy with them either, my car is strictly a street car too and I am looking for comfort.
AND, there are a lot of gehs I work with that have street miatas, most of whom are running around on awful koni yellow set-ups.
Serious as a heart attack

He is the sort of guy that DIYs his stuff for cheap.
I think he has about $5k into his whole car.
Bought a beater NB w/ tired motor for like $2k, iron block LS that he got for a couple hundred bucks, fab'd up a lot of the v8 swap stuff, etc. etc.
Anyway, just because he has a LS NB doesn't mean that A) He has $20k into his car or B) He has much money for suspension.
And he just had twins, so spending $2k on suspension isn't very high on his list.
Understand now?

A lot of folks have run the Bilstein/ebay combo and they work surprisingly well. Ebay coilovers are still under $75 shipped I think. New Bilsteins are about $440 shipped but you can often find good used ones for less than half that.
So the tecnas will work but they're not ideal for that application. Since it appears he has made many hardware choices based on cost and not effectiveness, I suggested the less expensive alternative.
edit: hit submit and realized I'm seriously hijacking the thread. Sorry Tom!
