The failstagger is because I'm an idiot and put fender flares on the back of the car. I regret it daily. I'm going to end up building a new tub because of it. It looks retarded in person. The 225's with 15x9's hide under them. It handles great. It brakes great. It accelerates okay.

fender flares,
just bought flares, for 1990 miata, looking for good wheel and tire comb for this set up, flares are full wide body, and I know I will have to modifiy body, my quesiton is what works best and looks best, not race car, just tired of wife and child saying it looks like a girls car, im turning 50 in 10 days, looking at Enkie 92 15x8 with 25 mm setback,

Interesting you bought narrower wheels for improved fuel mileage... Just finished off my first tank on 225/45-15 R-S3's. Worst street mileage I've had. Might have something to do with my right foot and seeking out clovers and other curvy roads to abuse...

lol, if you read through the thread, you will find the best looks come from NOT putting fender flares on. OP just got done saying he regrets it every day.
Personally I think it looks ridiculous unless you are going to be running 275 Hoosiers on there, but its not my car.

Don't flare the car. Roll the fenders and put some sexy nickel 15x9 6UL's on it with NT01's or RS3's if your a sally. Had I done that and just put a new front fender on the car to replace the one dad ran over with the truck, this would have been my dream car.
BTW- I'm averaging 14.2 mpg now. The car is a pure around town car and I didn't build it to hard park.

Pay off everything, set the rest in the bank, and get a clean FD to swap after the shop is extended and finished with an apartment in it this spring.
I've had the car for 4 years and have over 40k miles on it, 15k of them being swapped. I'm bored. It actually has the RS3's and 6UL's on it right now.

Like a sally, I couldn't do it. Instead I'm pouring money into it. New trans, new rear end, new fenders, new intake, new exhaust, and probably new wheels/tires.
Paint will be this fall. It'll be a rattle can job till then.

It depends on how small I can cut them down. Sketch up on a photo how much you need intact and I can go from there. As they sit now they are cut from the top of the arch of the wheel well, over to the shock tower to in front of the seam in the rocker so they are very large and heavy. As I planned to deliver (but forgot them) I figured more was better.
