Zf5 swap
Looking for some feedback from those who have gone with the bmw zf5 speed swap. I've heard mixed reviews as far as where people are getting the shift lockout issue. My plan is to be rev to 7700rpm just want to hear from those who have ran this trans if they've experienced any issues. I have a getrag 3.42 diff as well.

I'm using the BMW ZF 6speed (from a 530i, I think). Never seen a problem with shifting. Ever. Best mod I ever did. Works well on track with my 3.63 rear gear.
However, do not flat tow or tow dolly a car with the ZF trans. The regular 5 and 6speed Miata transmissions will handle it but the BMW ZFs don't like it.

My revlimiter is set to 7200 for engine longevity currently. The power is currently set at 325whp.
Heat management has become the biggest factor on track now. At this point everything is pretty reliable. I'm reluctant to go higher and find a new need, haha.
I believe the ZF 6speed is the same as the 5 but with an extra gear. I was hitting just over 150mph at Daytona and needed 6th to get there.
