I was going to replace my bushings for front upper control arms. Used my $5 press tool but trying to press the bushing through started bending the control arm. Well ****, might as well order new ones. Go back and start trying to get control arm off. Castle nut rusted as **** and cotter pin jammed and rusted into it, ends just broke off trying to get it through. Knocked off as much of the pin as i could and started on the castle nut. As it is both rusted on and probably the cotter pin remnants are still giving resistance, i got about 2 or 3 full turns of the castle nut before it's just stripped now. Should i just say **** it and replace the spindle along with the control arm? Is there a way to get this thing off without destroying more of the assembly?
