The Stewart Development Paradox - Where the heck are my shocks?

Relte, thanks for the awesome review, sadly its kind of the same review everyone is giving with regards to Bernie fail.
Stewart Development -> scam , I think scott said it best.
& if weekend racer is allowing him to scam through his site knowingly, well then you know who else is bad news
That being said, I have spoke to both of these guys on the phone extensivly. Both have been very pleasent and nice so for this to be happening is really sad.

Before all this was going on Shaik @FCM referred me to Bernie. Emailed him extensively about getting my shocks rebuilt. Seems like a nice guy from the emails. Then the group buy came along for the rebuilds. I decided to wait and see what will happen to those who got their shocks rebuilt. I am sooooo glad I waited. I would have been scammed too. So sorry to hear about this, it sounded like a legit company.

I share the sentiment. I even entered a pretty heated exchange with a very legit competitor in Steward Development defense. I don't know what happened. Seems like it went form good to bad overnight and never recovered. Every one of these post stings a bit as I was one of the main people happy with his work and promoting it. I apologize.

You right though. Your car might still be up on blocks.
My honest opinion is that Bernie is a good guy. He is very knowledgeable about shocks, and has some great ideas. I don't know what happened, but will agree that the business practices spiraled downward out of control. You can't take money from people if you don't know if/when you can deliver. It's a shame too......when he delivers, it seems to be worth it. But who can afford to take that risk? I hope he gets his **** sorted and is able to climb out of this hole, but a lot of damage has been done.

Been emailing with Bernie this morning. He says the shocks are shipping tomorrow.
FWIW Bernie has been a great communicator the whole time i've dealt with him. The only problem I have is that he over promises and under-delivers. I'm sure the shocks will be worth it when they get here, though. I just wish he would be honest about the time frame in the beginning.

I find it amazing that someone can accept a job, give a completion date and tell the customer their job is being worked on when the whole time the parts have been sitting on a shelf since your equipment is not suitable to do the work at that point in time.
I was ready to get the shocks back, put them on the car, post up how great they were and recommend Bernie's services as an budget option to a adjustable coilover setup. What a sweet dream that was.

Bernie is not trying to outright scam people. His business practices are just not acceptable. If the **** isn't ready to ship, then don't say it is. Also if you are gonna make a custom application like this, you need to be prepared to provide the needed customer support to help the customer understand what they are asking for and what they will be getting. I couldn't understand how he was so nice on the phone (only reason I gave him a second chance) and then as soon as a challenge occurs he either does not communicate or gets all defensive and rude.
Look, waiting for 6-8 weeks to get a set of shocks is acceptable if you get them at the expected time. He clearly stops all the custom "retarded customer" work when he gets an order from the racing teams, so he should just stick to that work, honestly. They should be able to communicate at his level.

Well look at the facts, your 500 bucks vs their 5k... I'm sure u'd work on the 5k your self. Sometimes people just don't know how to say no.
The main issue that i see over and over is not responding and digging the hole deeper instead of saying "hey i'm just behind on stuff".
I'd rather know the guy is still there with my money just behind than somewhere in another country.
