Replacement clutch disc for FM1, or something else altogether?
So I'm closing in on the completion of my 1.8 build and I've decided to look into clutches at this late stage. I've had an FM1 for the last few years on the 1.6 and it's been great, but I hope to be knocking on the door of, or surpassing, the TQ rating for that clutch and want to have some headroom. I figure I can just buy a replacement disc from FM (springs are getting loose and I don't want to take a chance on one letting go) and keep the power down, but I'd rather run allofit
I've been over on the Competition Clutch website and am wondering if any of their discs will work since they are the original manufacturer. I could also just pick up an FM2, but I figure if there's a more aggressive disc from CC that will fit (like the 4 puck) maybe I can get some extra holding power out of it in combination with the FM-spec pressure plate.
Anyone ever tried one of their discs with an FM pressure plate, or even test fitted one to see if it would work?

Decided to answer my own question.
I called CompClutch and after some prodding they copped to being the original manufacturer (which is already widely known but they won't readily admit). After getting that out of the way, I ended up with a 6-puck sprung disc to go back in with the FM1 pressure plate. The guy I spoke with said this combo will exceed the FM2 TQ rating. I probably won't be able to find out until the Spring if that's true but I'll update here or in my build thread.
