I just bought an ND2 30th Anniversary and ordered the BBR 220 kit and some Xida coilovers. The car will see mostly road use but I do like to go to the track now and again. Has anyone any experience with the OEM pad on the Brembo brakes, and are they ok for track use with some uprated brake fluid?
If not, what are your favourite dual-duty pads? I liked Pagid RSL29 in my old M4, but open to other ideas.
I tracked my 2019 Sport with transplanted Brembo calipers once and I was fine. I was running 205/45/17 RE71R's and set a PB. I didn't have any problem with the brake pedal, but I also don't think I am fast, so YMMV. The Brembo calipers definitely have a much better feeling than the normal sliding calipers.
After 2 turns with an ND on track I could tell the brakes were starting to fade. You could try to add ducting and some good pads but with a turbo you'll have to upgrade at some point.
I like the PFC11 pads. Very easy to modulate and good for high temperatures. It's a race pad so it's pretty dusty but the dust cleans off easily and doesn't damage the wheels.
