Hi, I've rebuilt transfer cases before but a transmission is definitely a different beast. I have a transmission that is out of the car and needs the syncro's on 2nd and an overall check of the internals. I went through a couple DIY walk throughs and it definitel looks doable, but prefer to have some experienced local help to go through it. Happy to kick some cash their way, and lacking that, a recommended shop that can check it out and help.

I can certainly drive to you/them.

Any suggestions in the general Los Angeles/Valley/OC area?

They have a reputation for doing great work (I'm not affiliated with them in any way).

 

Good to know about them but there is no way I'd ship the transmission across country, just not worth the expense. But thanks for the recommendation.
