LSD Scrubbing Tire???
Forgive me if the search gods were not good to me, but I seem to be the only one with this issue.
My '96 Miata has a torsen, but an abnormally good(?) torsen. In the air if I turn one tire, driveshaft stationary the other tire spins opposite, so I know the things not welded, but when driving and making turns at slower speed, it seems moreso in the left turn direction, it scrubs and chirps my inner tire like it's welded. There's some play in it, more than my other Miata with a Torsen, but nothing that seems too excessive. With that I have two questions... How much play is acceptable(axle or driveshaft rotation without the other axles/driveshaft spinning? And more so, anyone know what would cause my torsen to scrub tire like this? Kind of at the point where I decide to drop it and inspect/rebuild, something I've never done before, or just run it as is and enjoy my improved drift ability.
