How much does a bar like yours cost? After my recent venture into mortality, I'm buying a bunch of fresh safety-equipment in the near future. I don't want to die or end up in a wheel-chair.

I believe it was around $500 (maybe cheaper, don't remember now) which makes a lot of sense to me since I could customize it to my specs (although Moti advised me against few things).

Trey, I don't understand why you have to be such an *** or why you feel an urge to talk out of your *** most of the time. Judging from threads in BS section, you seem like a pretty cool guy when people meet you in person. Seriously, this "badass" homo crap is getting old after 6 years. Grow up.
Blackbird Fabworx consists of a single person (Moti) who is an extremely helpful, knowledgable and most importantly - personable. His shitty website was made for him as a favor by a relative or something and it's by far not the worst automotive site I've came across. It gets the job done.

Urbanscoot, would you mind taking a couple of shots of the seat belt mount with the seat back rocked forward?
Also in that corner how it mounts? (would really appreciate it!!)
I spent a few hours with a motorsport fabricator today trying to work out how to meet our "rules" and still have me fit in the car, so far it looks grim. A certifier is coming up to hopefully offer some suggestions.
I really like what you have there and am about to tell him to just build this (yours) and F--K the dickwads and thier *** hat rule book!!!
We are way too far away to buy the actual thing and ship it....(New Zealand)
Being 6' and a bit and 102 kg's is not conducive to "clever" rules like straight tube from chassis up to hoop bend, max 10 deg angle on main hoop, 30 deg min angle on back stays ...the list goes on....

Not sure where you gathered the misinformation and concluded it's "laughable" , the harness bars are placed where the shoulder belts will meet the angular requirements for the vast majority of users.
Cars with plastic window (or no soft top at all) can have the harness bar between the rear legs as shown on my website (which I admit is crappy, but it works until I get to do it properly), NBs and NAs with glass window need the optional curved harness bar that you can see on UrbanSoot's bar to clear the rear window.
That would generally place it higher for a few reasons, one of which is meeting the angular requirements of the shoulder harnesses.
I'm assuming that you're referring to the GT3 model that has the gusseted X-brace that "totally blocks your view"... Or not -

BY the way, I've sat in a few cars with the GT3 bar installed and visibility is actually better then in my car. If I could, I would run the GT3 bar myself but I'm trying to attract the least amount of attention with this car.

$475 for SD, $525 for DD and $675 for the GT3, fits NA with plastic window or NB without a soft top.
Cars with glass window can have it without the standard harness bar for the same price or add $150 for the optional curved harness bar as seen on UrbanSoot's NB.
Shipping varies by location.

You're basically asking for the roll bar that UrbanSoot just got for his NB
It does clear the common factory hardtop, I haven't verified clearance with aftermarket HT or the later OEM HTs that had the extra padding added (and are quite rare).
As I posted above, it'll be $475 for the bar plus $150 for the optional harness bar.
The standard finish is Black powder coating, custom colors available for small additional fee.

I suspect it'll be a lot but Im going to be paying a lot down here anyway. May as well get one that I know will work...
One of your standard solutions, the rules here are too hard for these cars and my height. What I listed above was the tip of the iceberg, the bar to person clearance rules etc. So I am going to say F you to them and just do track days etc.
NZ rules are different to Cams (Aussie rules) as we are different countries....
