Fuji diffs: Questions on failure modes and prolonging life
Just ordered an OE Fuji 3.6 diff. Unfortunately, I could not get my hands on a Torsen in a timely manner. With the price of Fujis, I figure I can put an OBX spool in it if I have to.
Im wondering what I can do to prolong the life of this diff besides mechanical sympathy. I was thinking, since its somewhat of a clutch based diff, would it benefit from an limited slip additive?
My second question is, when the diff does begin to fail, and the friction plate tabs break off, does it completely love its limited slip functionality, or is it reduced?
