First mention I've seen of the OZ kit on here, but I've been tempted by it for the past few months. They are working on an option to adapt the engine to a CD009 instead of the Miata transmission, and I'm waiting for that to come along before deciding what's for me. I've not seen any negative opinions of their work.

me - yes, when my current engine goes I’m unsure of my next platform. My goals are a dedicated track only car with potential scca future. Not to compete in nationals, but to have some fun. I like the idea of a swap, if I could turn the clock back, I should have bought “tramp” (Lfx swapped race car) when it sold a couple years back, but as always, hindsight is 20/20.

My future avenues are as follows:
bp4w/vvt junkyard with my current upgrade list - c30-84 w/75mm pulley (+50hp over my -74 w/90mm)
Rocketeer swap (same money as kswap but more n/a output)
Exocet + option 1. - I like the thought of exocar, but also like butthurting gt3s with a haggard looking Miata. So this is a tough option for me to consider. the Exocet having scca legal cage at $8k is pretty attractive since my welding skills are missing the main component of a welder (otherwise not bad) so outsourcing a cage in the northeast is a $6,000 bill. The weight savings this route isn’t huge for me, my car already weighs 1951 with a 3/4 tank of gas. But 300 pounds is a lot of weight.

so yea, brainstorming for future! I welcome your $.02!

I did a built motor with a turbo and a BMW transmission. Did cooling mods and big brakes and track it reliably at 325 wheel horsepower
