Jackson racing m45 bracket .
#2
If you're only talking the bracket, the M45 is only held up by 2 pieces. The triangular bracket above the exhaust manifold and a support beam under the SC.
Just call Moss Motors (MiataMania.com), and they have the Bill of Materials for each kit. They can tell you if the triangular bracket is the same between NAs. If not, just buy the new bracket. There were a few batches of them that were weak and broke, so I know this particular piece can be had.
If you're absolutely keen on doing it yourself, just measure the distance between the two exhaust studs and make sure they're the same distance on each engine. But I really wouldn't modify the bracket. The whole SC hangs off that thing and the last thing you want to do is weaken it.
