1.6 Supercharged NB build.
I thought I would start a progress thread for those other crazy fools that are into S/C rather than turbos.
Here is my car before I start (already been posted in my noob post).
This week I have got the ECU all wired in and also the relevant sensors in place.
Wideband gauge:
Wiring for IAT and MAP:
ECU wiring
Adaptronic stuck to the back of the glovebox with velcro.
Lick of paint on the S/C outlet
Then the fun begins...
Loads of room to fill:
But the mounting bracket for the S/C doesnt fit so needs some fabrication so im stuck untill Monday.
Intercooled NA.

Yeah in Europe we get 1.6s
Less power than than 1.8 but it feels 'revier', there isn't a lot of difference between them on the road.
Only down side is that because the 1.6 is limited to Europe and Phillipines there isn't a wide selection of parts, most come from USA or Japan.
An MP62 1.6 NB has got to be quite rare.

Sure looks nice, although I knew a friend at the track who had a hard time with the supercharger belts. Sometimes they would snap without any warning or way too much slack, besides that it ran decent for a 1.6.
The Mercury Capri, if I recall well, is the same engine with the minor difference of the water circuation on the CH.

Greg: Ill get some pics of the DTB soon, I have done my back in fitting this so It wont be for a few days.
Basically there is a second throttle cable holder on the 1st TB and then it runs along the top of the radiator and then under the charger to the 2nd TB.
Very simple but very very effective - no lack of response what so ever.
Mazpr: Hopefully I wil have no issues with slack as the auto tensioner is taking care of that

Well the car has been for a dyno run and tune today.
I was expecting to get the car back with an optimistic 200 horses. The car had 110 from the factory so adding 90 is quite a large amount.
So we did this
And we got this:
WOW! thats a lot more than I was planning
Obviously the torque figure is wrong as the dyno needs recalibrating which is happening on Monday.
