Fresh off the truck... HJC's new HX10-3 Carbon Fiber Helmet. With this new addition to the HJC line, a new affordable option is added to the Carbon Fiber helmet market.
The description says extremely lightweight. What is the weight difference between it and a Standard fiberglass unit of the same size from the same manufacturer?

Now you’d think if that’s one of the selling “features” it’d be listed right? Even the mfg web site doesn’t list it. The only web site I could find where it was is Amazon who put it at 4.94 - 7lbs depending on which listing and a Bell composite (comparable size) at 3.5lb .
Yeah, that's why I was curious. CF is supposed to have the benefit of being lighter and easier on the neck, especially in an accident. But there's no data on the listing.
This helmet is coming in at 3.6lbs right out of the box compared to 3.8lbs for the standard composite. And thats not from HJC, we take each helmet out of the box and weigh them on our own scale here at our store.
