Hi everyone thought I'd come to here for help. Recently bought the 90-93 DiyEfi 2 plug PnP kit for my 1996 1.6L. I was told this would work which I don't doubt it does. I install everything how it should be, MAP line, Vtps and IAT. Plugged the ECU into my laptop and got the latest version of Speeduino and everything up and running. I downloaded the base NA6 tune and put it to the car. Calibrated everything, went to start and it was just cranking. Reverted the car back to stock because its my daily, and everything's working fine. So I did a little digging and have whittled it down to a few things. On the DIYEfi website it says the later 1995+ cars need a blob of solder on the 2E/F crank jumper pin on the back of the board as the CAS wire is on a different pin on the ECU. However i can't for the life of me find that on the board. The next thing is could it be the NA6 tune? My cars the later 90HP version so would I have to get a different base tune? And would anyone be as kind as sharing it with me if they know where to find it. Thank you
Post your tune and a data log of the engine cranking.
Nope, i saw no RPM in TunerStudio or the car. And i cant send anything at the minute as i dont have it. The cars back to stock running fine now for the time being. It was just the NA6 PnP tune from Speeduinos SpeedyLoader. I also didnt know what board to select in Settings so put Na6 PnP. There was a DIYEFI option but it was for a different board to mine
Sounds like it's probably that CAS wiring you mentioned before. Also the SpeedyLoader base tunes are probably setup for the Speeduino layout and wouldn't factor in any changes that DIY-EFI made.
They should have a base tune for your specific PNP, which is what you should use.
