Thanks for the update. Nice to see the issue handled properly. One question... I just installed an OE replacement Exedy clutch on my 2004LS. The car is a commuter/weekend fun toy, and I do keep the hooning to a minimum. If I were looking to install this setup, how soon will I be looking at doing another clutch job?

Spent 5 hours on the dyno on Saturday, tuned cold start, driveability and tuned the ebc to 14psi. The car drives amazingly well, all of the turbo bits are holding up perfect. I only have just over 100 miles on the motor and so far so good. That said, whats the next size up from this turbo? Something to push me over he 300 whp mark.

Close enough, I think I have a variety of sizes currently. The short one's are needed below the v band adapter. I think I have a 65 top front, plenty of space there. My local crapa had a nice selection, the hardware store too. I seem to have one or two messed up ones when I swap turbos sometimes.

Just an FYI, I am prepping to be hit by hurricane Florence. If you have not heard back from me the past for days or over the next few, I have not ignored you, just a bit busy prepping.

I thought you were coming to Florida in August so I sat on the front porch and waited. And waited.
If you want to come this way I would be happy to buy you a drink and give you some turbo parts.

Finally got around to install the "big" turbo i got a while back and upgraded my oil drain to a -10an size. Thank god for Vbands, it made pivoting the downpipe easier. the shelf around the engine bay needed a little massaging since this turbo sits a little lower, the compressor housing being larger and the downpipe was angled more over to the fender. A quick pull on wastegate spring shows im hitting full boost around 4000ish rpms vs 3700ish rpms on the original MK turbo. Tune probably wont happen til after winter but i'll keep you guys posted.

Nice. Very nice as far as chingchongmeowmeow turbos go. What is "full boost"?
What is the outlet flange? The ad photos show a cast Vband and a round four bolt. It looks like you have two v-band clamps right off the turbine housing.
Your compressor wheel also looks different than the 7 dual blade compressor in the ad.
That's a very minor loss in spool considering this turbo has larger wheels and housings than the standard MKTurbo unit. That leads me to think the dual BB is a big help. Makes it tempting. Looking forward to some spool logs.

Whoops, realized i put the wrong link thanks for the catch! This should be the correct link now. on cxracings website its a little cheaper than on their ebay page.

the outlet flange is a 3in vband, so i bought a 3inch to 2.5inch vband adapter. The exhaust vband also sits much further forward so the adapter length is almost perfect to get the downpipe to mate up again. i think the adapter length is about 1.5" i'd have to double check. My current EWG spring is 8psi, so around 4k rpm i see about 7.8psi when the EWG fully opens. Considering the compressor wheel is atleast 1 inch larger than the mkturbo one i'd def say the ball bearings are doing their thing and helping spool. Once i get the car back on the dyno i'll compare the graphs again from my previous tune.

yup i plan to run more boost, i have my EBC hooked up to my tial EWG its disconnected so it only runs spring pressure, but i need to redo the vacuum line routing and find a place to mount the EBC. Hopefully we'll get some warmer weather soon so i can go get tuned. If not it'll wait til spring time. i'll def keep you guys updated how this goes.
