Hi. '00 from Omaha.
Greetings folks. I'm Vadim from Omaha. I have a black and tan LS I've been DD for about a year now, when I'm not deployed or driving the Vibe beater. I've yet to do much more than preventative maintenance but I know I'd like to compile and install a turbo setup one day. This forum is pretty comprehensive and the project seems overwhelming so I'll slowly learn the vernacular and basics over time.
I'd like to give the rascal a few upgrades next season as winter is coming and I'd like to start 2019 with updates. Based on what I've read, new tires and wheels will be the first (bronze RPF1's from Tire Rack with RE71R's from Costco), likely followed by a sway bar setup (Racing Beat). I'd like to think a suspension setup will follow but I've no clues as to what that will entail. VMaxx, Koni? Those are just words to me right now. The best thing I've done is remove those irritating visors with blanking plates and wax the monster when the sun's away. I'm also thinking about adding sound deadening to the doors but it's not really a priority right now. I'd like a new shift **** and leather cover for the hand brake so I might purchase those next month.
So, all said, hello! Anyone else from the Omaha/Council Bluffs area?
edit:here she is.

Welcome to the forum.
We just had another new guy join the Forum from Nebraska in the last week or so. Take a look around the meet-and-greet section for him.
The sticky threads and the build threads are some of the more interesting places to learn things. Lots of trial and error and development has occurred here in the last 15 years.
The stock suspension is miserable. It is designed to get onto the bump stops once you start cornering. Suspension is everything in these cars. Once you have that worked out then they are much more fun to drive. We have a suspension hierarchy thread that has a list and discussion of various setups.

zviOne,
I am the other new guy from Nebraska, welcome. Lots and lots of fantastic information here on the forum. It can be overwhelming so take a piece at a time. Make sure you get a chance to go across the river to visit the Loess Hills scenic byway before winter is fast upon us. https://www.traveliowa.com/trails/lo...enic-byway/10/ It is a great place to enjoy the twisties.
