Most wetest coilovers ever
3.9 out of 5.0
For $450 @Fab9 or $550@other sites, these are a very affordable way to acquire adjustable dampening... However, I feel TEIN should had sold them with 8kg/6kg or 10kg/8kg originally. they need higher spring rates perhaps.
Pros:
Adjustable Dampening! - Affordably!
Handling -
Definitely stiffer handling, really hugs the turns nicely compared to before!
Big pot holes, tires never seem to leave the ground, so that's a very important +.
Slammed - Does lower the car more than factory.
Negatives:
Bouncy ride! - Not quiet sure how to fix this based on what others have reported from trying different spring rates I'm unaware if it seemed to fix it.. I assume it's either the spring rates or the nature of the dampers. Stiffer dampening seems to help the most but does not eliminate it enough to be satisfying or quality.
Slammed - They don't go as low as you might hope for. Running 15" wheels, absolutely no need to roll the fenders. And the REAR especially is at least 1.5" higher than the front on lowest settings. For some reason TEIN wants you buy separate springs to fix the problem with the rear being too high. Wasn't happy about that.
You get adjustable dampening... However I feel it defies logic with these. I am not sure whether other coilovers are the same but when you increase the dampening force, it also in turn creates more time/lag for the strut to extend back to top position. Which kind of defeats the purpose imo. It would make much more sense for the strut to re position it self to the top quicker the tighter you set it. I am not sure if all coilovers are the same way.
Customer service - disappointing (Not to sound negative)
I would give them 2 stars but I can't be picky, I understand the amount of resources and labor that go into a product like this, and at the price-point you really can't beat being able to buy them at a cheap budget. 3.9 stars.
I just wish TEIN had given people either lower springs on the rear, or better spring rates on all 4, with the original purchase. Instead of making you buy them after the fact. If they had, i'd give them a 5/5 hands down.
Hope yall liked the review.

Well actually to clarify the confusion; if even worth it, someone decided to rename the topic to "Most wettest coilovers ever". These were not my words.
I had named the topic "3.9/5 Tein Street Advance Review Coilovers"
Most wettest coilovers ever, makes it sound like I was complaining even more, being more negative than I actually was.
So yeah
I believe who ever edited the topic title to what it is now, should receive an infraction, unless me posting my honest review of what I thought of the coil overs (disappointment tbh and upset to of wasted the money) is against the rules...

problem 1) Rear being too high at lowest setting and
problem 2) bouncy as hell ride.
If that isn't going to help then I'm totally out of luck and wasted 550$+ because it turns out Tein's customer support is horrible and there's no chance of getting a return or anything

Any idea if I could rescue my hopes and perhaps try running 10kg/8kg springs, with 1" off the rear spring height, might fix both of my problems with 1 stone?

ps thank you for pointing that thread out. I wish so hard that I would've done that from the start.

I'm going to let you in on a secret while all these ******** are shitting on your post.
Tein sells some of their Monoflex overstock as this PN occasionally. It won't say so, but it'll have the same valving in a different body. You can just throw some Swift 16k/20k springs on these and have a Xida-crushing setup for pennies.
