Here ya go, this is an example from SpeedAcadamy. They have a K swapped S14 that is using the KMiata trans upgrade. Keep in mind, they did modify it slightly for the shifter location, but I would assume the throw would be very similar.
Skip to 12:30 for the gear banging.

Thanks
That was some massive shifter throw.. i would probably need to make/get a decent shifter if its that bad with the parts in the kit.. its like double the throw i have today
any shorter shift options in tha making ?

A QC note: The adapter plate had some bolt holes that were not completely tapped all the way through. Specifically, the ones for the mounting of the starter. My cheap harbor freight tap was unable to finish them so I had to buy an expensive tap kit. The plate is made of really hard metal.

If you go any shorter with these transmissions, the shift effort increases. Our G260 kit actually has the shortest throw, but the most shift effort, because it currently uses the same shifter as the ZF 5-speed. Because of this, we may actually build a G260-specific shifter.
At the end of the day, everyone has different preferences with this stuff, so we try to make the broadest group of people happy with our setups.

6 speed kit-
Crossmember actually would be a lot better if it was built flipped over and the exhaust went above it rather than below it. A 3in exhaust would hang down much lower than the frame rails otherwise. See the pictures of both ways attached.
Downside to me flipping mine and just rolling with it is the outside bolt locations where it meet the frame rails will be on the wrong side. And the crossmember has a bit of arc to it. It is built with a droop in the middle that raises the rear of the transmission probably too much if flipped. I'd much rather have my exhaust tucked. I'll need to test fit the downpipe before deciding what I'm doing.
Regular way:

Thanks for sharing. I've already talked with Shandelle at V8R and we'll be making some changes to the 6-speed crossmember for that reason. He wanted to build the exhaust hoop the same as they do for the V8 cars, but the turbo K and BP guys need a bit more clearance. He says V8 guys will use 3" exhaust through that size hoop, but I think most of their customers go 2.5" so it's not that big of a deal for them. The next batch will have a larger, higher hoop to make exhaust routing easier.

Screw it. I have to run it this way. And it fits much better this way. It may work fine with a 2.25in exhaust below it but with the 3in exhaust it needs to be above it. And there is plenty of room for it. EVERYONE that needs a BMW transmission swap in the first place will have a 3in exhaust.

Driveshaft is way too heavy. It must weigh as much as a Miata 5 speed trans by itself. Heavier than the one in my truck that tows the Miata. The walls on that tube must be 1/2in thick. That's wasted horsepower out the ying yang. Seriously.

Driveshaft is 20 lbs, in large part since it has to be a foot longer than stock and requires the telescoping front end. Remember, this kit is meant to handle 700+whp.
We make an option to delete the driveshaft from the package if people want to go custom. We looked into aluminum driveshafts and we were only going to save about 4 lbs and the price would be double. A carbon shaft was going to be $1300. It's all a balance of meeting a price point people will actually pay, and then leaving wiggle room for those who want to make changes.

Agree with six, the hoop style trans mount places the exhaust too low with a 3". Have the same style on my car and had planned on completely re-doing the exhaust and trans mount because the exhaust is too low. I'm not even at that low of ride height. Doesn't help that the headers hang super low either though, but now I'm just complaining about LS problems.

And I'm not complaining about the mount. Everything needs to go somewhere. Just offering continuing improvement solutions. My downpipe could actually be slightly higher with the size of the trans and the tunnel there.
With regard to the driveshaft, maybe it would lighter if it was designed for 550hp? The design criterion on this particular6 speed ZF trans is only 278 ft/lbs. {source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_S6-37_transmission}
How about a pic of that mounting plate for the 6 speed?

Also, we did recently talk to our driveshaft supplier about making a lighter option. I have a sample on the way to us. I didn't plan on sharing news on it yet, but figure it was worth mentioning because you brought up the weight. I'll share an update if/when I have one. In general, our approach is to keep things as beefy as possible because we have guys doing launches on drag slicks with over 600whp already.
I can email you a picture of an adapter, but I'm confident you have all the necessary holes. They are all run on the same program and each hole first gets a pilot drill bit, then a big drill bit, then a countersink, and then a tap. So it's not really possible for a single plate or two to miss a hole.

Yeah, it's simple. This was actually our third design. First didn't provide enough front support, second was much more complex to manufacture. This is simple, clean, affordable, and very strong. They key was machining the 1.5 degree angle into the aluminum mount so the welded steel bracket can be made square.
