Sanity Check: MSLabs MS3 Basic Fused Output Pin1
Brand new MS3 Basic from MSLabs, purchased from TSE.
Followed all install steps provided, successfully. Now adding power/ground/analog signal for MTX-L.
Pin 1: Fused 12v Out (6A)
Pin 2: Device ground
Pin 4: Analog input
MTX-L face comes up as normal with no sensor attached. Went to calibrate in open air for the first time, and it went ER9 (insufficient voltage) and went blank. Battery/voltage is fine.
Tested Pin 1 output, no voltage.
Opened MS3 case. Only fuse I can find is a small glass tube type. 500ma. Not 6A. But, it does appear to fuse the output for Pin 1 according to a glance at the board traces. It doesn't visibly look toasty, but does not pass a continuity test. It's blown.
Questions:
Have I identified the appropriate fuse for the 12v+ wideband output?
If so, why the heck is it a 500ma?
If it was erroneous, I'm assuming I can go find a 5-6a tube style fuse and replace?
Thanks in advance.

The fuse should be a 6A, not a 500mA one. Please post a picture of the fuse. We don't have 500mA fuses as there's nothing we would use them for, so I don't see how this could have happened. The only way I can think of, is if a 500mA fuse was put in the 6A lot from the factory. I just checked all our fuse stock and there is no 500mA fuse in there.
tldr; put a 6A fuse, not a 500mA fuse.
