Hi, NB2 Track Miata from Michigan
Hey there!
Been lurking awhile but figured I should post since purchasing my very own Miata. I have benefited immensely from this forum already and may have some experiences of my own to share soon.
2004 Mazda Miata LS 5spd
This car used to have the large tupperware kit on it but I have since performed an intervention and he's much better now.
98,000 miles
FM springs
Koni yellow shocks
FM sways
15x8 Advant Storm S1
Dunlop Direzza ZIII
Aim Solo 2
Hard Dog Hardcore M2
Gloc R8 pads
Anywho, one day I would like a small turbo setup making approximately 180-200 whp with some sort of interesting track focused IC setup (h2o to air?).
In the meantime I'll be doing a lot of track days at Gingerman, Grattan, and Mid Ohio.
Thanks for stopping by!

The air to water makes a lot of sense for events that are really short, because you can fill the reservoir with ice and get the temps below ambient. A track setup would just melt all the ice. Then without someway to cool the water, you end up just heat soaking during a track session and your temps will gradually rise. A small but efficient air to air makes a lot more sense for long duration use. It does suck having the mass as far away from the CG as possible, but I don't know where else it'd package well and get good airflow.
