Miata short block, VVT head, TD04 turbo, 1.8 Kraken manifold
Sold the Miata, spares must go...
*Long block BP4W- Was purchased used. Previous owner took it out at either 125K or 140K miles i cant remember which. Engine is complete and comes with everything in the pic. The crank pulley cam loose and therefor the crank keyway is damaged. Needs a loc-tite/JBweld fix or a new crank. Came out of a running car that ran fine and compression was good. It was down on power due to the timing being all over the place due to the crank pulley (timing) being retarded. SOLD
*Short block 1.8L- I don't know the year or mileage on the engine. It has a good crank which is why I purchased it. Was going to swap the crank in the other engine. $100 Firm
*VVT head- was removed because of head gasket failure. It sat for some time with water in it so all of the valves were bad. It does come with good cams and cam caps. You will need, seals, springs, retainers, valves retainers, etc. I did mild smoothing of the combustion chambers and "bowls" in the intake ports to help the rough cast to machined transition. No carbides were used. The most coarse sanding drum used was an 80 grit very briefly. I wasn't trying to remove much, just smooth out the casting lines and transition. This head did not come off the short block above. $75 obo
*VVT valve cover with solenoid- all stock $100. Valve cover and head package deal $150.
Rebuilt TD04 turbo- this was purchased from ebay in non-usable condition. I rebuilt it with new bearings and seals. The compressor wheel did touch on the cover and is damaged. The turbine wheel also touched down but has nowhere near the damage as the compressor. I was gonna run it as is just to get it up and running and then upgrade the compressor wheel later. It has not been balanced or run after the rebuild. It came from and early 2.0L wrx (2000-2004ish?) $0ld
TD04 to 1.8L Miata turbo manifold K1 Kraken- I believe this is a 1st gen manifold. See their website for facebook page for more info. This manifold will work on all 1.8L NA and NB. It has never been run. $0ld
3" stainless J-bend (downpipe) and stainless 5 bolt flange (TDO4)- Was going to make a 3" downpipe for all of the spools... $0ld
Package deal... Short bock, VVT head, cams, cam gears, & both valve covers $200 firm.
I really don't want to ship this stuff and will not ship anything over or including the weight of the head. If you must have something shipped, you will pay for the shipping. You pay the paypal fees or you can venmo. Ideally you'd be in the San Luis Obispo to LA area and we could meet somewhere. I will not move the short block, sorry you're on your own for that one.

It's on the right side of the country for me, still sadly a 30 hour round trip. It's a long shot, but if you know of anyone driving north who has room for the short block and head, let me know.
