Here's what it looks like on the one we're doing. It's recently filtered because it's off the pressure feed at the housing, but I think you mean straight from being filtered to the turbo? I'm not certain about that, but the fact that the pressure sending unit is right off the filter housing means it's likely. Straight from the sump to the housing, then out to the rest of the engine. Since it's picking up the pressure right there, I doubt the oil could go many other places first.

I have never heard of an engine with uncirculating oil. I think what you really mean, is that you want oil fresh from the filter, rather than after it has made it's way into the engine. Ultimately, if your engine isn't dying and you regularly change oil / filter, any source for oil should be just fine. The factory turbo oil feed from Mazda, was from the block, post filter.

Exactly. I think pulling oil from the pressure sender will give you what you want anyway, but I also don't believe it's critical.
The FAB9 kit we worked with came with some lines and fittings that wind up pointing the pressure sensor back at the filter housing. It seems it works on earlier versions of the car, but the later models had an added heat exchanger, which the sensor winds up pointing at. I borrowed a picture from another project where you can see it sitting between the oil filter housing and the starter. Since the heat exchanger takes up that space, we just used a simpler t-fitting and installed the sensor off of that. This method will work with either oil filter housing. It also means the sensor isn't cantilevered off of a piece of SS hose, so it won't shake around over bumps nearly as much.
