Great progress to date! Ignore ghetto paint job - didnt want to do it pro and it looks fine for me!
Racing beat type roll bar in
1.6 engine sold today to a great person!
Wiring being routed back in
Steering rack depowered and lubed up - note u can take flare nuts off drill and tap them and put some fasteners in them without having to go buy custom plugs.
Going to knock this out and get that engine in ASAP! Wife tryin to park in the garage...

Spent yesterday over studying a few wiring additions I need to make to the ECU.
VICs solenoid will tie into 2X which consequently is fed through the purge solenoid from the evap canister I removed and heat shrinked the wire on it...got to undo that now lol.
GM closed element sensor used for oil temperature will go to one of three analog inputs.
Finally the knock sensor will go to spare1 after I install the knock module.
Fun stuff to have learned.

She is alive! Did break in yesterday and changed oil. Mag drain plug picked up a little bit of metal. Oil didnt have metal in it but was choclate milk. Didnt seem like it was due to Coolant though because it smelled like fuel. Gonna grab a leakdown test kit from advanced and see if I have any issues. More to come. Pics videos etc.

Pictures as promised! Finally gave her a bath...she hadn't had one since November!
Engine bay picture. Not everything is done in it so I will have to tidy some items up. Anyone who is on the fence about sequential anything...JUST DO IT! Best idle ever.
Can anyone give some input on which version NRG quick release they like best? There is a good Amazon deal on a steering wheel, horn, adapter, and quick release setup for $270 I am entertaining...

Wife got me a GoPro so I can start posting more videos! Also steering wheel on the way!
Got a pretty solid coolant leak at back of head. That nipple for the oil cooler is very much in the way of tightening the hose clamp I have on reroute...
Got to replace alignment bolts as some are messed up...then go back to firestone for an alignment...
I hate delays...

Well got my dwell dialed in per the ls2 db585 coil thread and then as soon as I turned over car I would blow meter fuse. Changed it twice and still blowing it. Something tells me its the air bag system. Light will flash when fuse is changed then on start up it blows and air bag light goes on and alarm starts dinging. Any help is appreciated. Havent done anything with transmission**

Not sure if I was able to repair the METER fuse issue since the car has not turned over yet. I changed the dwell correction table to replicate what was in the LS2 Coil thread. Read many posts over and over and played with the dwells, but am not trying to exceed the OEM recommendations for max dwell. I have attached my log and tune here. I know that my battery is pretty worn out and I need a new one, but for now I need to get this thing to turn over even if I use a charger to do so.

So still having issues with car and turning over without backfiring. I reduced cranking fuel percent and saw and improvement. Timing appeared correct. Might have a minor air leak but not sure.
Haven't yet messed with injector dead times. I believe they are all still fixed to 1 ms.
Saw thread on varying them by voltage but this has never been a problem.
Not sure if I need to do the following:
Test fuel pressure
Replace crank sensor
Replace fuel pump if I dont have good fuel pressure...
Any recommendations?
