300whp on Venerial Dyno, which is 305 on dynojet, which is over 9,000 on mustang dyno.
....on a serious note: got yo logz. revising myeaw
So yeah the reason we couldn't get my idle right is because i forgot to put the bottom insulators on all 4 of my new injectors, so yeah you were right on the leak
- I only had the bottom of the injector seals on... I went to THREE nearby autozone's to get the parts i needed which brought the three rings i needed - I only had to use the bottom cushions to get it sealed right.
bit of a delay since i found a few more problems while helping @ridethecliche , i got a good 100 miles on the car with only an oil leak. high idle and a belt squeal - I'm happy with that result considering my rear end or engine didn't break again.
Also got some help wiring in my VVT Signal from @ByteVenom, alot easier than i expect thanks for the help on that.
Cam seals are next, then i can wrap the tuning up with Vlad, and hope my rear tires don't explode from being eaten during big bumps.. needs more roll
I could have sworn I gave him the spare NB2 IM gasket I had... I reused mine since I have an NB1 manifold and ordered a full NB2 gasket set and ended up not using that. In any event, it's yours if you want it Colipto!
Wow, sounds like a hefty tuning bill. But hey, not as bad as if you went to the dyno a bunch of times.
Yeah that upper intake gasket looks unreliable, I would reuse a good one before using that one.
oh and replace that garbage composite gasket on the IM because it too will fail. OEM is steel

I would like to eventually upgrade to the skunk 2 manifold, hopefully it holds till then, else I'll probably take up ridethecliche on his offer
Car has been driving fine for over 200 miles, fixing lots of little things and finding other things to fix is not fun. No longer leaking oil though, but i am having VVT issues! keep seeing vvt1 err on my tunerstudio.... I've tried searching, followed Braineack's directions.. and yet this **** is still broken. I'm getting power from my injector harness, and have a signal going directly to Nit1 on my MS3x.. I even tried to install the diode per Brain, he was unsure if it was built in or not since he built my unit specifically for my 96 and didn't pre-wire it for VVT.
am i doing it right?
In my logs the VVT angle is ranging from stuck at 274.8 - to going from 0 to max of 30
aidandj i think may have had this same issue before but i am unsure - I found a thread he created on the MS forums and someone else also having similar issues - the resolution was here
I just need to figure out if that's my fix next, i have no idea how to do that fix yet - but i will definitely be attempting it soon as i figure out my way around the MS board.
Really would like to just turn up the boost at this point and turn off VVT till i can actually figure out what's going on
Finally figured out my way around the megasquirt board - also my logs compared to aidandj's look very similar - I've had a few flatline moments on my logs. I tried rotating R11/32 as specified, if its still not working as intended I'll probably proceed and install C13 on my board as it is not populated.
the logs you sent to me of the pulls you did show it not working at all. different from Nadia's problem
I have sent you new logs showing the problem - I think i never gave you updated logs after the diode install, You should have two e-mails with logs from two different days

I started my car this morning and it worked fine and then stopped working exactly like you described. Since i don't know **** about ECU's (brain built) but i know how to solder and have the tools - I'm worried that I'll be doing damage or make something stop working by adding C13, really on my last leg troubleshooting this - I'll most likely try it out.. i guess i can always remove it!
I had no error code with my vvt issue. It would just stop working. If you are getting vvt1 error it's not what I had.

whoops thanks, Going to have to find that - I thought it was C13 on the MS3 as this image is the only thing I've found. On my board this was not in place, I'll have to find an image like this for the MS3x
You wont. But all components are labeled. Its a surface mount capacitor. They suck to replace. Microscope helps a bit. Also a very fine tip soldering iron.
Think i might be a little under it at 14psi per Virtual dyno, looking at ways to carry E85.. looks like any gas can will do? its only about 30 miles away i think
I would really like to get this VVT issue fixed before i move onto installing a flex fuel sensor and filling up with e85..
maybe this log will help diagnose the issue a bit... Brain / Vlad asked to post some logs.. This is what happens....
It looks like it reads but as soon as i get into any boost after cold start - Goodbye VVT angle, time to stay stuck at 274.8 which i believe is the minimum angle set.
... You can actually see how it stays pegged at the top, completely stuck
