3d printed adaptors
I already prinred 2.5 and 3" connectors for testing purpose (china post is so long). I m a bit embarassed with the cross of turbo intake/outake hose and dont want to struggle anymore with problens to close the hood. I wanted to shape an adaptor wich is curved on his top with ny 3d printer and wanted to know you thinkings... this part will be in intake side of the turbo hoses. Do you think they will not support temperature there (it s abs plastic so start deform at not so high temperatures). Do you have any other concern about use it? Good idea?

you dont want the 3d printed piece breaking apart, then turbo sucking in the plastic and bending the compressor wheel.
ask me how i know.....
This was a rubber piece that broke off my air filter.
$375 later, i had a billet compressor wheel.

This is a piece of **** china knockoff of k&n, rubber is super soft, not firm and strong like real k&n, so it got torn while I was at the drag strip. I guess from the vibrations and stresses. Real k&n will not tear like this.
lesson learned and buying k&n filters on eBay out of china
It was also partially my fault, the clamp was crooked and the bottom of the filter snapped off the pipe and torn.
it was mounted on a 12" long 90 degree tube away from the turbo

my "real" K&N ripped in a very similar way. I feel like mounting it directly to the turbo just isnt a great idea. it gets shaken to hell, and its tight jammed between my headlight motor and heat shield. Gonna add some inlet piping to extend it and give it another coupling to reduce some of the vibration.
luckily it didnt get sucked it.
