Well buying tires has been delayed as my clutch has started to slip real bad. Hoping to get the FM2 from psyber he just listed.
I am thinking I may just pull the motor and do a list of things I need to do along with the clutch and throwing my rods and a set of pistons into the motor. Wish me luck! (Student budget ballin)

Have to thank the explosions expert on the new clutch and flywheel coming my way, hopefully will last me well even maxing out the 6258 when I find the money for the block/VVT head.
Just need to find a 6 speed in SoCal that isn't priced like an insane person for +$1000. Plan to do the clutch, flywheel and 6 speed all at once as my 5 speed grinds 3rd and 4th now.
Thank you all for the knowledge to do this ****, it is great

I have a question for you guys. I plan to buy a VVT head + flattop and slap it on my block.
1.) Do I need valve springs to run 25psi? (valve float)
2.) I don't need any head work (looking at the 450whp Sav motor)?
3.) I plan to do just manley rods, supertech pistons and weisco rings, new gaskets and blueprinted to oem spec=> run 25psi on e85 and 18psi on 91oct, this is ok? Hoping for 350wp on e85 and ~300whp on 91oct.
This is the general plan, rods: pistons, general rebuild with a 6spd and adequate clutch (thank your psyber) and run e85 on a dw300 (with supporting crap and my id1050x). Am I set up to this?
I plan to make this a "track" (read: not competitive just fun) car on low (12psi) boost and street car on high (25psi) boost.

I would be interested in knowing your cost on the motor build if you were willing to share.
