I am basically out of fuel, so similar boost up top but I am targeting 260kpa from the bottom to about 5500. Unfortunately I am usually only between 5000 and 7000 at the track and I am not hitting my targets yet so not much difference. The torque is impressive in other situations like passing in 5th. Injector duty is basically 95% for the entire pass except for a little AE spike shifting to 2nd gear when it exceeds 100%.
Only one more race this year, after next week my car goes back to stock. Uh, because I need to remind myself how much these cars suck out of the box?
After that I can open my megasquirt to run sequential ignition and fix my fueling system.
There were some cool cars out yesterday, a fancy new Lamborghini that I didn't get to see run, I showed up a bit late. My favorite is the crazy Nissan with the parachute, perhaps I was seeing things but I swear I saw a 150 or 160 trap speed on that thing.

I was chatting with some folks pretty far back when it ran and I wasn't sure I read the sign properly. I was like, did that thing do 160? Maybe it said 150, that can't be right, I need to have my eyes examined.

6.88s @ 222mph GTR 1/4 mile record
222mph trap speed. Most recent GTR world record. The second pass, which was a world record until the next pass, would have made me **** myself. The cockpit view is insane when he starts to lose it.

There was a $500 purse for first place in sportsman class today. Unfortunately we got shut down before elimination because too many people were sliding around.
Had the track all to myself at one point
I didn't realize it was an eighth mile event, oh well it was good to rip a few and see some of my friends.

It was a slow day, in more ways than one. First and last are on wastegate. I was kinda short shifting leisurely, targeting around 6500. I had a few issues today.
Here's my latest PCV scheme, which sucks and I somehow managed to pop my dipstick. What a freaking mess . Don't worry, I already installed a check valve correctly oriented between the manifold and catch can. This was before the incident.
This crazy Lamborghini was there. No idea, Fast!
Last but not least, there were Jr. dragsters there. This was something like 6-10 year olds, the youngest class. They run an eighth around 40 MPH.

Not my best day at the track, but I think this is my best eighth mile trap, 88. They only let us run eighths today because of slippery conditions.
The car felt strong and pulled like a rocket, unfortunately, on my first pass, I blew the dipstick and started dripping oil everywhere. This check valve didn't fix it, but I can't seem to reproduce this on the street.
The carnage
I'm working on it...
Hopefully I can get this solved before the first real drag race. Maybe I will just run 2 filters on race days.

Wow! There was a fatality at the race track tonight, some crazy high HP Pinto. I didn't see it, but apparently he bounced off the hill, then the opposite wall and was airborne at one point.
Bless his soul.
I didn't get to really dial my E85 tune in and didn't even get to run with my EBC on. However, I was pretty fast and nothing broke, should be better next time. Also got a video for Thumpetto but I need to figure out how to edit it, like 5 minutes long, waiting for broken cars.
Not bad for a gentle launch.

Oh yeah, and they effed up my first time slip, read my window as 14 instead of 74. Had to chat with a bunch of the guys to figure it out, the tower got it sorted on the 2nd pass. A bunch of folks had messed up time slips on the first pass.

It was the first fatality in 30 years at the drag strip. At least he was 75 and probably got a lot of race time in before his tragic end, and probably doesn't have young kids at home.
