Or you could pony up for a manifold and dyno time, instead of bitching on the internet, which is free. From what I see (being an owner of a squaretop boosted built motor) what Emilio has projected for the outcome of that dyno test is spot on, and were it my money, I wouldn't spend it.

Yeah I think he is right: his forecasted results based on what he saw n/a will only be disappointing. I think Skunk2 should have dynoed before ever selling this item,but you know that would have been the right thing to do...Sooooo don’t expect it.

Many more important projects to apply our limited resources to. I would say I'm sorry that we are not able to perform every controlled evaluation that the Miataverse wants, but I'm not.

We simply do not have the time to get everything done that we need. We have a year and a half worth of work backed up in the shop and have to cut projects. This manifold evaluation is one of several projects that were cut. Stating that of course opens us up for the peanut gallery to complain about mismanagement, lack of focus, yadda yadda.
Sorry guys, Turbo manifold evaluation not happening any time soon and that's that. Finished my oatmeal. I go ride now.

Why do you think S-2 didn't dyno? They certainly didn't release dyno numbers. There are plenty of consumers willing to spend money, and plenty of vendors willing to take money, on unproven or marginally valuable products.

They don't have an interest in making power. They want to sell parts. Make it good enough and put it in the box. Better than stock, better looking than stock, or just different than stock is all it really takes.
Hell, if it is 95% as good as a flat top it is better than most stock manifolds and worth something.

Gotta say. That is pretty weak. This is miataTURBO.net and you post na results and bail on it. The only thing that can tell is the dyno. We wanted to see turbo results in the first place. We were hoping you would provide. Obviously, the turbo intake manifold shoot outs need to be left to fm. Or is there something you arent telling us?

I don't recall. Didn't matter to me so I did not record it.
I just do a sweep where input less advance everywhere see what happens. Then add more advance everywhere, see what happens. If a trend develops I continue in that direction until the trend stops. I then blend the best of both advanced and retarded tables. Then I start over by advancing or retarding the entire table. Once I stop seeing gains I know that table is pretty well optimized.
Point is the exact table that I created is irrelevant for whatever engine you might be building. Stick to a somewhat scientific protocol and you'll get good results.

You got me there. I was very upset my corolla was red. I rattle canned it white for inital d bro rep. However, my Miata, I bought when I was 17 was black. It still is, I have been trying to decide whether to vinyl wrap or plastidip. What color would satisfy you? Also, why so butthurt? You weren't even involved in this.

It's pretty arrogant to give somebody **** who spent a bunch of money and a bunch of time testing something when they didn't test it just the way that you wanted. And you have offered exactly nothing for the service. Be thankful for the data that you do have which you paid nothing for. You should thank the man for sharing it at all rather than chastising him.
Speaking of which, Emilio, thank you for bringing this data to us. We appreciate your generosity to our little online community of hobbyists.
P.S. - I would never do anything so crass as to draw penises on a dyno chart of yours. Vlad should be ashamed of himself. Lol.
