Maybe he's saying that automatic cars are faster now than stick, but we all know that.
I am not sure I will be able to make the coils work before this weekend.
I also think the tires affected my trap. I have not experienced this kind of traction problem before. I shifted to 2nd and 3rd early because the tires were spinning after my launch, felt like something broke before I realized I was spinning. I have always been able to stay hooked at the track after the launch before, but no longer. Big torques now, I am also able to run more timing that with the old motor. Maybe 19° up top at 235kpa.

Drag racing is cancelled due to fires. Hopefully we will get it under control soon. I just wanted to mention that in case anyone was planning to try to meet me out there tomorrow.
Hopefully everyone in the area is OK.

The new director of my department at my last job was big into drag racing with his dad. Had a carbureted Chevy with something like 700WHP naturally aspirated on meth. I think once the new year starts and I have a trailer I might go out with my car to see what I can do.

You should go! Where else can you beat your car as hard as you want from a stop with no cars in front of you.
The raceway has graciously donated it's facility as a shelter since it's set up to handle large numbers of people. The fires are very bad and close, hopefully it doesn't spread this way. Wildfire around here can get real crazy, quickly. The race events cause traffic too and they need the roads as clear as possible for evacuees and emergency vehicles, I understand why we don't get to race. Hopefully it will be better by next week.

I just hope they get it contained soon, we already have our cat carriers and a few things we must have ready to grab if we get told to evacuate. Still pretty far, but with wind and embers, there's just so much dry vegetation around.

Yeah, all my buddies were giving me ****. "I thought that ignition upgrade was supposed to make you faster."
My 2 elimination rounds were really good races, both older built 5.0's and I was a fender ahead because of the lights both times. Once on a green and once on a red. I love going out there, can't think of too many places I'd rather be.
Good luck on Friday, I will be living vicariously.

The smoke has been bad all the way down here, and we are a good 150 miles south!
Is your boost control valve toast? I have a couple of those kicking around, same as you have, if you need one.

Thanks Nigel, I will send you an email in the next few days, I want the o rings and cushions too. I do have a 4 port solenoid valve still, but I will need to plug one of the ports. Not sure what I'm going to do.
Found this picture on the website from last time, the red mustang was 2nd and I was 1st.

This thing is deep in the 9's
This thing is not as fast as I would have imagined, like a gt500.
