Thank you! Time is on our side.
I have always loved the idea of building a Subaru but it is hard to shallow all the supporting mods sometimes, but something like a GC8->full STI thing or a nicely done 02-03 looks really good.

If I had the money, I'd buy a un-fucked-with bugeye wagon and pay a specialty subaru shop to go ***** to the walls with an STI build.
Hell, I could probably have that done to my current wagon. It'd probably cost on the order of like... 15-20 grand though. The idea of bringing new life to that car is super appealing though....but it would need damn near EVERYTHING swapped.
This is a local guys bugeye. One of my favorite cars.

Crossflow is amazing. So nice to drive the car and not worry about temps.
+1 to having Vlad e-tune your car if you're a noob like me. Helpful and quick. Car is going great. Absolutely put the hurt on a MK4 GTI with a turbo upgrade.
Xidas next.

A+ thread title, already pricing out a built block, but as it is, I think I have about the limits of power for my TEIN coilovers and old, tired "pun" Z2 tires.
I have another log where I am hitting peak boost (I think it was 7psi like last month) and it would do the same, -5psi to 7psi in less than the time it took to go 2% tps to 100% tps. SO great. I get the tiny turbo partial throttle, hand of god, torque feeling, which is super addicting, yet she pulls hard into redline; it will be even more so on a built block. 300kpa on e85 sounds exciting
I just need to sort out my cooling system, I think I either need a bigger fan or I may have some air in the system after the new radiator.

Especially with my way too big (blocks 100% of bumper mouth and then about 2-3" higher than the crash support) and not so efficient fab9 stage 2. It is like the Achilles's heel of my build so far lol

posting this here for reference

Read the discussion around dialing in the bcs.
1) figure out the range
2) figure out if it operates in normal or inverted mode
3) use setup mode to establish boost bias table
4) finalize closed loop boost for our 10psi everywhere goal

Tunnel bashing will definitely be required. If you want it centered with the steering wheel you will likely need to cut and patch in a notch. The shoulder wings will probably still hit the doorcard, but not enough to prevent closing. The tricky part will be mounts if you nee to have the seat far back in the car. The Garage Star brackets will limit rearward travel a lot. The adjustable PCI brackets will give you full rearward travel, but mount you higher. The fixed PCI mount or the newer Planted brackets may work better, but I never tried them.
Source: I had a Recaro Profi SPG XL (maybe slightly bigger than the PP) in my NA for a while. Decided to go back to OEM NB2 seats until I can pony up for some fabrication work that will allow a bigger seat to fit well.

I made mounts to sit it right on the floor (fixed) and with it that low and pushed as tight to the trans tunnel as possible it only barely touched the door panel. Consider that when looking at how it will fit on the left side...
