just pulled the trigger on a 1.8 manifold excited to see how it will flow vs hks top mount, and a ebay log style mani. Chasing faster spool times. Was a super noob and ordered through ebay however, Missed out on the 290 price dang.

+1 for waiting for a 1.8l kit.

I will be surprised if it doesn't spool measurably better than a log manifold. Cast out of ductile iron, it should be much stronger than the welded mani's too. Best of both worlds.

I have a very strong suspicion that with an EFR on the T2 manifold, you will be required to trim the rear shelf a bit to get clearance for the downpipe. The TSE manifold already is very close back there and I have seen some rubbing issues on a few NA's. So I will be very interested in seeing how it all fits when you get it all in. I also will probably be picking up both the T2 and T3 version of the 1.8 Kraken manifold to test fit and eventually try out.

Nah, my car is an Exocet so no rear shelf there.

But for Miatas, you're most likely correct. I have a local buddy with an older TD04L setup from Kraken ( long elbow vs short ) and that did hit the rear shelf when test fitted on an NA. Then I noticed the T2 setup moves the flange a bit forward, similar to TSE, which is why I switched over.

When it arrives, I'll be test fitting this header with the EFR on both platform and reporting back.

Much excite. If I switch from my supercharger it will be to a TD04 of some flavor (Either a Volvo one or a subie one. I think the volvo one is t2ish? Need to look up the measurements).

Was hoping to have something more to show but delayed slightly, heat, power surges and some other stuff keep getting in the way :(

I am making a 2.75" vband elbow too but more next week, for now I cant really show off more than this

A friend of mine just sent pics yesterday of TD04 stuff that he received with the message "worth the wait".

Its hard since we're all so excited but I think we need to be a bit more patient for the T25 stuff.

The only reason I got my manifold early is because I bought it about 2 weeks before he even started selling them on here. I found his group buy on mx5nutz based in the UK. I mentioned this place to him since almost everyone here in the states runs a T2. I think the quality and price are well worth the wait. Check out the Kraken facebook page and you'll see the updates. He just posted a couple of hours ago showing the manifolds being milled flat. Not a belt sander but on a mill.

I have not. My downpipe wouldn't fit (ARTech kit) since the manifold placed the turbo a bit differently. He is currently building my exhaust as well. I had to redo my oil drain and a water line, I also ported the manifold since I can't install it without the downpipe. Everything fit up great except for my downpipe otherwise. I missed my HPDE event a few weeks back so now it won't be until early October that I get back on track to really put some heat into it. I'll be doing a few autocross events but the heat is really nothing compared to track work.

Not sure how to respond to some of the replies, guess the proof is in the pudding so bare with me.

Start with the DP elbow, I started making a cast mold but I am not happy with the elbow design, it isnt something I should be rushing right now. Anyway I am still open to a cast elbow, if you guys can tell me what you would want from it i would be only too happy to abide

In the meantime perhaps you can tell me what you think about this, I actually really like it

2.5" elbow

And the all important welds, really struggling with the mig welding on the flexible joint but for now is best I can do

Made some fittings too, really like machining brass but may go SS if you guys want

And these

1.8 T2 Flange

and the last one.........

Awaiting patiently for some MT assessment

Best way to keep up to date is by visiting my facebook page, its very convenient for me at the moment

Very nice hardware! The bell mouth downpipe is nicely done.
