After some thinking in relation to fabrication and runner length, I may scale the manifold back to make it easier to make and spool quicker. It may look cool in CAD, but after looking at where the turbo sits, you'll never see it :(

Picked up a hot glue gUn and threw this together after traveling for the past month. Should be able to finish up the collectors and find a place for the wastegate/s soon.

Got the manifold all tacked up. Mocked it up and I've gotta figure out something for the downpipe and where to mount the wastegate or wastegates.

Agreed, this is what I'm currently thinking. The orange is the wastegate which will come off of the turbine housing and the blue is the downpipe. Green is the muffler if I can space out the bottom of the fender without looking ridiculous.

If you're going with this routing, take a look at OG racing's v8 car. They route the exhaust out of the fender in a very similar way.

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm looking for although I'm not interested in running it the length of the car unless I absolutely need to.

Coming to this thread late, but mounting an oil cooler with just the bottom holes isn't a good idea. The core doesn't offer that much support, and they have a tendency to turn into a banana and leak if you don't use all four mounting points. If nothing else, you'll want to cut some lengths of tube as spacers and run long bolts through both holes like this:

I may have to look into that, but I've had that oil cooler mounted in my front bumper with only the bottom holes for almost its entire life and had no issues. I haven't heard of that being an issue before, even Flyin Miata sells brackets that only mount to the bottom (assuming thats what you have in that picture) and they seem to be fine.

Those are FM brackets in the picture, yes. The first cooler I had mounted to them leaked after a few years, and when I asked a local race shop about it, they said "yeah, they give you four mounting points for a reason, you're supposed to use all of them". So the new one has the spacers.

Hard to argue with that, I'll see how this one holds up. It's already pretty beat up so if it fails I'll replace it with a better/bigger one. Thanks for the heads up!

With a fender outlet I don't see the point of a muffler in the fender lol
May as well let that turbine sing with open downpipe like the s2k boys do

Thanks guys! If I was only tracking this than I wouldn't be concerned with having a muffler but since I daily this and take it on 600+ mile road trips it might be a little nicer if its not deafening haha

Got most of the manifold welded up, still need to clean up the flanges, port them, and add the slip joint on the 4th runner. Also welded up the oil drain port on the front engine cover.

Sporting some sweet desk art today. Should be porting the turbine housing out to a t4 toady and machining off the marmon flange for a v band.

Beginning work on the downpipe! So simple!
