Quick update:
Had my '99 running on the rusefi yesterday. No problems observed. I couldn't take it for a drive because:
1. It was snowing
2. No drivers seat
3. I had to manually hold the MAP line to the temporary MAP sensor because of mismatched size
4. The ECU was not in a housing, or secured and bare metal all around it
So once my new ECU housing and external MAP sensor arrive here, I will see how it does in a real-world driving test.

Oh! And this is all localish. I will be watching with great interest. We got an older Link for my friends car, but this may be the way to go instead for that. Neither of us have tuning experiance though.
I am sure he would be downfor doing testing on his car (Located up in Airmont NY) though once you guys get things a bit more sorted!

With a little luck my rusefi should be reliable enough for daily driving in two or three weeks- depending on when I get the missing parts. I believe our russian has two boards left- act fast!

For the first race of the green car I want to use my board for logging and warning light control, not yet controlling the engine (another car - the yellow car - is going to run rusEfi at the same race)
Question: how do I decode the signal on the oil pressure gauge wire on my 91? does the sender change resistance, like a thermistor? do we know the gauge pull-up resistor value? is anything linear here? is there a magic table somewhere maybe?

The sensor should be roughly linear with pressure, but it'll be a voltage divider (a pull-up inside the gauge or something) that will make it a bit more "curvy". Just measure it out and map it to some scale close to what the stock gauge is saying. It will never be very accurate no matter what you do (because the sender and gauge just aren't), but it will tell you what you really need to know (is pressure normal or not and in what way).

The sensor is indeed just a variable resistor.
This read gives you some information about how the circuit works:
Miata Community Wiki | Turning the NB Oil Pressure gauge into a real gauge
There is a pull-up inside the gauge, so by measuring the voltage across the sensor should give you an idea of the oil pressure

Trying to make NB alternator control work on rusefi. There is some conflicting information out there. The best I understand is that stock ECU uses a simple 250Hz PWM control. But I also read that it's some sort of 40KHz bang-bang control. Is there any actual data out there? Google hasn't proven very helpful so far.

Getting closer to fire up my 2003
what is the source of this crank wheel blueprint? does anyone know the exact angle positions of these four teeth? looks like 10 degrees, 120 degrees, 190 and 300?

I just measured my trigger wheel and can confirm the drawing and guesstimated angles you posted with one caveat- the precise location of the crank sensor is not known to me. But 10deg off looks about right.

PS: I do not get it, how comes some youtube links are embedded and some are not? is this something I do differently or is it the mods coming & fixing for me?

Since you are asking, I can share some secret hardware prototypes... The goal here is to have access to microSD card & USB socket without removing the top cover. And being able to see the LCD kind of helps as well
