9 years later, and I finally figured it out.
After many years of playing the turbo BP game, and messing with many different setups and megasquirts...here is my long awaited build thread.
This is my car. I could go on and on about how many different turbos I had bolted to it, and how many different versions of megasquirt and blah blah blah, but I won't. I'll just explain what it is at it sits.
1999 Miata, internally stock 1.8 with 165,000 miles. Modified FM manifold (as seen here https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo...anifold-71282/), with custom built SR20 T25 machined to accept a 60mm wheel (journal bearing 2560) external wastegated setup with Tial MV-S 38mm water cooled wastegate with custom braided line setup. Modified FM downpipe, custom turbine outlet with V band flange connection to FM downpipe. 2 1/2" midpipe with no cat's or resonators. Racing beat dual outlet muffler. Hard dog Xtreme roll bar with hard dog door bars. Rev build MS3 PNP, with Innovate LC-2. Konig 15X8 +25 Flatout's in bronze with yokohama 205/50's. Flyin Miata springs w/ dead coils cut to set proper ride height on Bilstein HD's, FM sway bars.
There is a lot I'm missing out on listing, but you get the gyst.
I will be parting out anything I own that is Miata engine related/ megasquirt/ turbo/ etc.
Why?
Cause this:
I bought this car for $2500 last Tuesday. It's an 03 RSX Type S with like 212,000 on it. Dude rear ended a box truck, wanted to fix it, but needed wheels right now, so to craigslist it went.
The car runs and drives actually pretty well. The radiator support is jacked, and the hood and passengers fender, but otherwise it's not bad. I'm going to part the whole car, and use the engine/ harness/ ECU for my Kmiata swap. Best part is, it's an 03...which uses a K20A2 engine. However, the guy told me that that's not the original engine...and provided me with this receipt:
Which was for a K20Z1 (05-06 rs type-S 210hp). So I have a perfectly good running donor car with a K20Z1 in it. Lucky me.
Miata plans are to sell out a garage bay of spare engines and parts, and put the Z1 in the miata. I want to use a Skunk 2 intake and a 70mm throttle body, K Pro V4...Unsure about my exhaust setup though...but I expect to put down about 230whp. I just want to use this car as a dependable work commuter that's easily capable of laying down low 13's in the 1/4.
This thread will get updated very slowly...but after being a member since 2007, it feels good to finally post the start of a build thread.
Thanks everyone for your support and inspiration I've received over the years from members like TurboTim, Braineack, WestfieldMX5, Reverant, 18psi...there's a lot more I missed.
To be continued....

I will have a part out thread soon, I want to sell my hot side as a complete assembled unit.
I messed around with those turbos a lot over the years, and collected a decent amount of parts of them. I want to try to sell that stuff all in 1 lot, which will depend on interest.

No more bumpers...lol that was a fun night. You could gladly drive up here again though, and we can make a deal on my entire lot of miata engine parts/ turbo stuff.

The receipt didn't show the engine code, just that a new engine was put in it. I couldn't see the code on the block until I got the car home, so I took a chance. I thought maybe somebody might've put a base model engine in, which would've really sucked. That wouldn't have worked though with the type S ecu due to the v tec difference. Once I saw "K20Z1" I was like "****...it's a base model". Then I whipped my phone out and googled the engine code and saw "05-06 RSX TYPE S, 210hp", I was like gtfo!

Quick update. I am still in the process of parting with all my miata engines and parts. Once all that stuff is gone, I'm going to pull the K20 from the Acura and the harnesses and ECU, then part that car and get it off my property. I'm hoping for spring time to have everything in place that all I should have to do is pull the dash and install the harness. Should be an interesting plan as long as nothing else gets in my way.

Looks awesome, in for more updates! Do you have a swap kit already?
Also, if you're using a 05-06 engine, you should at least consider using KTuner instead of Kpro. It will save you some money and does basically the same thing, with a little less refined interface.

I am using an 05-06 engine, but it still uses the prb ecu. (03 harness). No I do not have a swap kit yet, I was actually going to email you about what all is needed to put this in my car, since things are different than K24.

Ah, perfect, that will work great. Sure, email me anytime and I can help you plan it out. Basically you need all the same parts as a K24A2, except a different upper water neck, no oil pump upgrade, no VTC gear upgrade. We also will supply you with a K20 style driver side mount instead of the K24A2 mount.

1950 ****** CJ-3A. Stashed there for future father/ kid project.
I've owned 5 of them in the last 12 years, decided to keep that one because it sat in my buddies field for like 30 years untouched by humans.
