WRX Injectors
I know this has been asked before and a few folks have written about this, but are WRX injectors plug and play for the miata? I know braineack took them off his list because they weren't exactly the same size, but from measurements I've seen the forceflow spacer should even that out as long as things just plug in.
Does anyone have experience tuning with them? I figured that they have a bit more flow than the stock rx8 injectors and are of the modern era (relative to rx7's), so it should be a pretty solid setup to get started.
Thoughts?

I know you're trying to save a few bucks here and there, but don't re-invent the wheel. 300 bux for flowforce is a great deal. and you'd need to get the 06+ wrx blue injectors or 07+ sti purple injectors to have more flow than the rx8 yellows which are dirt cheap already.
We have tried/proven setups for a reason. You go outside the tried and true, you better be the super DIY type who can troubleshoot issues cause you'll be on your own.
PS: they're slightly different size, and spray pattern is slightly different. they probably could work, but just barely. I'd rather use something that will work well
Reviving old threads (like the rad thread), and re-asking questions already resolved ages ago isn't gonna change much. There is not much new under the sun.

Oh you're definitely right.
This is just the thing about coming into this scene years after it started. I was just curious if it wasn't done because it wasn't a plug in solution and folks couldn't find the spacer or because it didn't work well.
The one guy that got it to work didn't seem to have anything bad to say. But N=1 doesn't really mean much.
I get what you're saying though.

Unless you find a killer deal the wrx blues are 200+ and the sti purples are 200+
Only the light green 440's are less than that, and when you consider that rx8 440's are same size and plug-n-play and usually under 200 as well, that makes them worthless.
Right now is a killer time to get into the boosted miata scene, because there are tons of tried and true options, everything is basically figured out.
That's why I get so frustrated when n00bs try to bring nonsense in here with all sorts of stupid ideas and backwards approaches (not saying this about you specifically, just in general)

Unless you are getting them for free (and even then I wouldn't) just do what I already told you to do ($200 option above).
You can go back and read a lot of nigels threads before he formed flow force, and see what the results were from batching a hundred GT500 injectors at a time. Im telling you from experience, idling high 14s in batch on a 1.6: when you can get EV14s for $200, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!!!!!! not even black lives.
Just buy the fuking things and install them.
