Supermiata S1 build - Vegas

Are you allowed to mod the vent tube on the jug? The hunsaker ball valve and fill hose are slow but work fine (well, except that the hose OD is too large to work well with the stock filler neck), but the vent tube sucks. It's almost impossible to not spill huge amounts of fuel unless you buy the $70 hunsaker j-tube, or make your own j-tube with $3 worth of PVC.

Clipped from NASA Enduro rule book for 2017. You can interpret this as you wish. I will interpret that as don't touch it unless you ask Greg first.
P.S. My public posts on NASA prep and strategy will go back into "you betcha" mode
Don't expect open discussion on how we plan to win T25 for the third time.

Well that was quick. We were just told by NASA ownership, in no uncertain terms, that we are not welcome at their events specifically because we created Maxxis Cup Supermiata.
I wonder if the folks that own WRL are still interested in developing an endurance series in California.

That's pretty stupid. With all the other issues they are already having (dyno bullshit and whatnot) this just makes them look like a bunch of angry kids who are on a power trip.
In for WRL T26

That is what costs them customers, not WRL, Chumpcar, Lemons or a teeny little 25 car series called Maxxis Cup doing a better job of meeting customers desires and expectations.
The language used in that offline communication is still shocking after all these years.

That's really lame to hear that they wont let 949 participate because you created your own series. I was really hoping this would happen and be able to see you tear up the competition. I always thought that SuperMiata wouldbe a good fit with NASA as it seems inline with Honda Challenge and would attract a lot of people out of SM in my opinion. The east coast has very few organizations that run cheaper events then NASA but fortunately for you guys out west have the option of running with good organizations at a much cheaper price point.

Lol.
Maybe they're trying to see just how many times they can shoot themselves in the foot... they sure do make some interesting "business" decisions.

Interesting. After seeing how easy my ceramic coating on my header has flaked off externally and internally I didn't think putting it ahead of the turbine wheel would be a great idea.
Will be looking forward to seeing how the internal coating holds up after a season of racing and if it has any effect on the turbine wheel.
