You might know the previous owners. Last name Niemeyer I believe? The guy driving it now has only driven it at a handful of events. It is loosely based on crusher but the engine is a 2.0l IIRC and it's running an AEM infinity tuned by Tony at UMS Tuning. He tuned my car as well. So Xidas, os giken, etc etc, you've seen it all before, the kid driving is crazy fast. I believe he has a couple 944 spec championships under his belt as well.
Btw it made 174 on Tony's dynapack and 176 on the local compliance dynojet all in...
Because apparently I can't internet this morning, could somebody tell which configuration this is........ CCW 25?
Yeah but on the MCE dyno they are using at nationals it pulled nearly 200WHP... I don't know what their solution to that is. That thing is a random number generator.

Lol, solid point. Gota build a car with 20% less power than your given cap just to make compliance on that MCE dyno
I'm just surprised it's competitive in PTB with that power, but it probably doesn't weigh much. And like you said, alien driver.

I built that motor for the Niemeyers originally. 198whp is hilarious - I wish a stock-cam 2-liter BP made that, I'd sell a lot more of them
The cams aren't stock anymore and it's been rebuilt since then as well I think due to oil cooler failure. I believe the big tomei sticks are in there now.
Yup, black flagged for no brake lights. Just before Dan loaded up Wednesday I recall reminding him to check his brake lights. Sometimes I feel like a worry wart but then stuff like that happens. So anyway, Dan has P1 for the championship race and his primary competition, Justin Ross, will start last.
Dan's race to lose at this point. Just got to keep the car together and stay out of trouble. Sonny is there with him crewing and knows our enduro protocol for racing conservatively when things are in your favor. Just bring it home guys!
Dan had him beat pretty good at that point anyways. Good racing Dan.
Good luck tomorrow.
To be fair, I think Justin started at the back and came through traffic to be 6s behind Dan, who started on pole. So Justin was a very real threat. The gap between them tomorrow at the green flag means Dan doesn't have to worry about Justin really. If Dan just drives clean and maybe .5~1s off max, Justin will never reach him nor will Roman. So the focus has to be not on sheer speed but making 100% sure the car will last and that he stays out of trouble. Just like racing an enduro. That's why I mention Sonny. It's a different mental place that Dan has to get into. Relaxed and in control. He's totally got the attitude and skill set to do that so it's looking good for Sunday.
A miata won B(Austin Newmark), C(josh allan), D(Charlie Hayes), and E(Dan howard).
Nasa asked all of us to go get our laptops and cables to show our ecu maps. They have not sent any of us to the dyno.
Yesterday, like 9 or 10 different PTx cars all blew the dyno, including the series director, so I think they're hesitant to use MCE for PT. They're still using it for TTx.

Ah, Niemeyer's car. That car has a great big pile of parts from us and a little Crusher tech via phone consultations. Cool that he's that close to Schotz with 2365#/ 196whp in B. 2.0L dyno classed. 2013 nats at Miller I ran Crusher at 2108# (IIRC) /192whp on points with a 0 point 1861cc bottom end. Got my *** kicked by Schotz with that 1/2 mile front straight. He'd put 6s on me there (not exaggerating), I'd gain 3s back on the rest of the course, for a net 3s loss. Brought a knife to a gun fight I did. Buttonwillow is a different story though.

Dan called to ask if the MSPNP2 will datalog. Not without a laptop and our $2k, 9lb gaming laptop ain't going in the car Sunday. Funny that they are apparently only snooping the NA/NB Miatas since they uh, won 3 of the 4 PT classes.
Hopefully they won't change any PT rules until the ST classes come online in '18.
