Geoff builds a silly 'car' in the few weeks before M@MRLS, every year!

I would have been happy to help a few weekends ago but unfortunately now I'm neck deep in my own mess of things to finish before the end of the month. It doesn't help that I'm now going to be out of town from the 19th through the 30th!!

Need to swap to 626 1" brake mc and Mazdaspeed booster

New (used) Good-Win V4 BBK

Realized I stupidly bought 1.6L rear pads so I had to rob the 1.6 brackets from my son's car (don't worry, we are going to do a 1.8L conversion)

This is a massive pain in the *** to get off!

Hmm I kinda missed some updates here huh?
In relatively chronological order:
I made some ducting out of chloroplast sheet and gorilla tape:
Mounted my tablet PC for tuning and monitoring (doesn't work great in sunlight as expected) and made a ghetto heat shield for the air filter:
Drove the car to M@MRLS where Vlad did some tooning (runs great! really happy with this) and I tried on some 17s and burned a hole in the body work:

I decided that the unfinished headlights bothered me more than the amount of effort it would take to deal with them when I paint it. So I worked on those.
At the above stage they're still unfinished as the headlight covers need to be trimmed to fit properly and the lights themselves have not been reinstalled, but it already looks so much better
And completed.

Then life got busy for a bit.
I worked on the truck (front diff/axle rebuild), bought a house and moved, painted the garage at the new house, got in a wreck in my GF's car, went to Hawaii, worked on the house, and did stuff that wasn't exofish stuff.
Hmmm shouldn't there be a bolt there? Oh found it, in the bottom... wtf P.O. why did you not locktite the ring gear bolts...
So much room for activities!
We'll that sucked...
Motor's still good, what to do with a random K20?
Where'd all that room for activities go?
**** it, lets go to HI.

And that about brings us up to current.
Finally got a bit of breathing room and it stopped raining so I took ExoFish out for some AutoX (Car is over sprung and I'm not a great driver, so my times weren't great, but I had fun):
He was much faster than me...
Then I took it to a BMW meat for fun (hung out with Codrus and MiataMan00 while there). ExoFish, Lambo, and some beemers
One of these things is not like the others...
And I finally got the motor/trans separated from the Civic so I can get some garage space back:

Haven't done much, did some cruising in the hills a month or so ago, installed a 3port EBC (but haven't wired it ot the MS or tuned for it), been poking cordycord about the windshield kit (waiting on availability), Installed the rear sadfab bronze bushing retrofit in my poly bushings...
I'm signed up a track day at laguna on the 17th and contemplating if I should do anything (replace clutch, install BBK) or just drive it for fun I have another project that will likely take up all my free time this coming July, so I probably wont do anything
Oh at least the carcass of the Honda is out of the garage (thanks to EO2k).

Oh, remember that broken shock mount nut back on page 1? Well I didn't apparently. I found it again when installing the rear sadfab bushings. This time I fixed it correctly though.

Track day today with GGLC at Laguna Seca. Car ran flawlessly (thanks Vlad) and I did "OK".
funny video
fastest (but still slow) lap.
Also some sweet new parts show up tomorrow that I've been waiting a while for
