I did a thing.
It would appear it fixed the pulsating boost, but still no more than about 12psi.
For easy comparison, this is without WG wired log fro previous page, no other changes have been made.
WTF?

After thinking on this, with tommy, aaron and aidan, I decided it just has to be a boost leak(in combination with WG blwoing open). I took the BOV off and blew through the nipple. Absolutely 0 restriction lmao.
Im going to make a block off plate and go test, when I get a moment.

200+ kpa!!!!!!!
So it looks like I had 2 issues, WG blowing open, and obviously bad BOV diaphragm.
Was going to go with the kinugawa actuator, unless.... @18psi thoughts? Will probably rebuild the greddy bov.

Because when I wired it shut it stopped doing the pulsing boost thing?
https://www.miataturbo.net/build-thr...9/#post1333472
edit- I suppose that could be a symptom of the boost leak?

Well i ordered a replacement diaphragm, and ill hold off on the WG until i see what it does without a boost leak.
If i still meed an actuator, kinugawa? Which spring would you choose to still keep a 10 to 12psi tune, but not have it blow open?
Fwiw, I ported the hell out of the waste gate.

New diaphragm, 100% duty in EBC table, 4th gear(6spd)
need to work on VE a little in higher boost
10 psi tune with MBT ignition timing, 5th gear pull. I can probably get a little more spool if i set EBC to 100% until 10psi, instead of 40%. I need to do another WG only pull and see what it open up at now with everything fixed.

Thanks guys.
Havnt given a **** about tach until I had boost fixed, so that is the next thing ill do. Was it you asking for the fix because you have similar issues?

Yea im on 3, theres no reason it wont work with the stock tach (any MS) just need to get it to output a clean signal. Im guessing its getting pulled down by the tach or something and it needs a resistor inline instead of being directly connected to the collector of the transistor. I have a game plan, just need time.
