Also, what is the purpose of the 30 minutes of warmup before the race actually started? (from the editing perspective but I also don't know why so much driving before racing...)
p.p.s. did that video just go private while I was writing this?

Drifting* from the track-only theme for a moment.
Seriously? Six months plus probation for killing 5 people?

Long Island teen gets 6 months in prison after drag race kills 5
POSTED 12:10 PM, MAY 20, 2016, BY ASSOCIATED PRESS
MINEOLA, N.Y. — A suburban New York driver who participated in a 2014 drag race that killed five other teens has been sentenced to six months in prison and five years’ probation.
Prosecutors had pressed for one to three years for defendant Cory Gloe, citing a series of insensitive social media posts, including one that disparaged police. Gloe also got re-arrested on a weapons charge, which was later dropped.
The judge granted youthful offender status because Gloe was 17 at the time of the crash.
Gloe apologized as he was sentenced in a Long Island courtroom packed with victims’ families and a crash survivor.
He pleaded guilty in March to a 17-count indictment that included five manslaughter charges in exchange for a six-month sentence.

Joe, I don't know how it is in NY, but in SC and Ga, motorists who kill cyclist (not while drifitng or drag racing, I'll admit) typically are charged with Driving too fast for conditions, and get zero jail time. If driver is drunk, more serious charges are filed.

At the very top are pedestrians. Despite the fact that nobody in NYC pays any attention to things like crosswalks or "do not walk" signs, most New Yorkers do not drive, and thus, hold pedestrians to be faultless and above reproach. If a driver hits a pedestrian and kills them (which happens often), then they're going to have a bad time.
Next are ordinary drivers. Not much to say here. Hit a pedestrian? Sucks for you. Hit another car? Sucks for them- move along.
Then you have cyclists. Despite the fact that there are tons of us, the fact that cyclists hold the same respect for things like red lights and "one way" signs that ultra-liberal politicians hold for the constitution means that most New Yorkers hate bikes. (I think there's also an element of jealously- bikes are, by far, the fastest and most efficient way of getting around the city.) Unless the cyclist was clearly riding in a marked bike lane and obeying traffic laws, it's a bit of a toss-up. If there's strong evidence that the driver was doing something idiotic, then they'll face retribution. Otherwise, there's simply an understanding that when you get on a bike, you're entering the Thunderdome. You're gonna get doored from time to time, and you just hope that you ride away from it intact.
Truck drivers come next. They're not evil per se, they just don't care. And yet they are a necessary devil to embrace. People get that.
Then, at the very bottom rung, are cab drivers. Everyone hates cab drivers, including bicyclists. The penalty for a cab driver doing pretty much anything is death, followed by the public desecration of the corpse.
Municipal drivers (busses, street-sweepers, police cars, trains which share right-of-way with traffic, etc) fall outside of the continuum, as a result of strong union protection. The city pays a judgement, and life goes on for the people who are still alive.

Those fuking guys. When I bought my driveshaft from them, they had an NA with a supercharger and an FMU, installed in ricer fashion. No intercooler, wires everywhere, stock everything, just a mess. Anyway, they had it strapped to a palm tree by its pushed in core support with a tow strap, rolling it back and forth.
This is Brandon's current ride-
