PT(x) Makeover Build
Here is some documentation of me updating my newly acquired car for the 2016 season. I will be using this chassis for developmental work with Toyo Tires on some new DOT tires and racing a few races including the 2016 East and West Champs with the current Toyo RR's. The car will fit in E-C depending on car counts.
I usually build my own cars but with my schedule on the road I decided to pick up Glenn's car that TC Design has built up over the years to become a pretty lethal PT car. I have been working with TC Design since I have started racing in 2011 with 6 Spec Miata builds all using their cages. So I felt comfortable knowing they have put 110% into this chassis.
I got to drive the car only once since buying it then tearing it apart for my makeover prep. I took it to Thunderhill and ran some pretty fast times for the first outing. Car is solid as is, now its time for me to make it slower.
I have a few options on engine packages, I tested the car around 2300lbs with maybe a 145whp VVT engine. I didn't get any dyno sheets with the car so it was a guess from Joe and Glenn.
Got the engine bay all prettied up waiting for the new lump.

Size does't always matter its how you use it.
No STL this year can't fit enough qualifying races with my schedule in for the Runoffs. They are supposedly coming to a track out west again in 2018. I will run if that is the case.
Just preparing for some fun and taking a PTD-PTC build in the a different direction. Time to smash some of Powells D records and Emilios C records.

To answer your question from the PTE thread. We have posted a lot of dynos. You have to go back through our old posts. I won't dig each one out because lazy

Should be very interesting on how this will turn out.
Car will see the dyno by the end of next week if all else goes to plan. Been on the road to much with these other race cars, started to neglect this project. :( May send you a email here soon about a few sets of 6ULs. I won't need them yet but I would like to save the 10lbs of rotating unsprung weight.
You gals will get plenty of updates how to do a PT build wrong.

Got the exhaust started today. Still waiting on the muffler and some other bits. 2.5in SS from the header back, going to run a 3in muffler back down to a 2.5 till the tail pipe. Started routing the oil lines and such also. Should be able to add fluids tomorrow. Wiring loom shows up tomorrow morning also.
