What do YOU use to tow your track car?

so good on gas because they use none
All of the dudes in this thread hating on gooseneck trailers have obviously never driven one. I forget my 40' enclosed is on the back of my truck as I'm chugging along at 85 in my truck. Unless it's really windy, you have no idea it's there -- until you try to stop.

I'm a slave to the gooseneck, I always took the gooseneck over the bumper pull when I was running cars for the wholesaler. People saying they aren't nice have never pulled with one.

I wonder if any of our supporters would like to sponsor my upcoming van purchase with vinyl wrapping. I may end up with a Yellow van (retired DHL) and I'll need it wrapped.
My only other major purchase this summer is a WSM smoker and then it's straight on to the van and trailer.

When towing (mostly 100km/hr 60mph), I got 17.4 MPG from my petrol rig out of interest:

Do you think you could give up being a white man and settle on a van? If you do buy an old fleet van and you decide to get it wrapped, be sure to fix any body damage and paint imperfections before laying down a fat coat of primer otherwise you'll have more bubbles than a public swimming pool on beanie weenie day.

I used to know a guy that could get new crate 7.3's for $5000. Haven't talked to him in a couple years, so I don't know whatever came of him. If I didn't have a diesel for work that I drove cross country, I would have an older 7.3L, but I put 80-100k miles a year on the truck, so it is easier to trade it in every second or third year than to worry about breaking down in the middle of Arizona or New Mexico.

If I had real money it would be a late-90's 6-speed Cummins with an enclosed trailer with quarters on a goose. Zero maintenance on the truck, the most reliable diesel I know of, and a manual trans so I never have to worry about anything other than a mean clutch every decade.
