Default Video-Goofing around on a new track in SoCal

Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Brand new track about 50 miles east of Indio, right near Joshua Tree. Middle of nowhere really. Great track! Really wide (40'), 2.8 miles, tons of flat groomed runoff. Smooth,, very grippy surface. Technical, no super long straights or super high speed corners, all mid speed. We were hitting 95-105 in most of the straights and holding 75-90 through most of the turns. Lots of long sustained, double apex turns so if your car has really bad handling balance, you'll be quite frustrated. You also have to be able to trail brake effectively for like four different turns to be entered correctly.

At the last minute, a couple of us decided to go check it out last Sunday. Recon mission of sorts. About 20 drivers, only a few of us on track at any time. No sessions just "before lunch" and "after lunch", open track. It'll be too hot to go out there again until late October I think. For 6 months a year though, it should be great.

Yup. I think this track will become quite popular and fill up quick next year.

Vaga- why so much understeer? I can tell the track is slick, but it looks like Emilio has a lot more front end stick.

What software do yo use for the picture in picture or plug-in?

What camera mount as well? I like how it has no vibration, smooth recording.

Thanks for sharing!

As Urban says, my aero setup is incomplete, and couldn't really do much but reduce the rear wing's effectiveness (removing endplates, clocking back less angle) and stiffen up the rear dampers to dorifto mode. Emilio even thinks removing the wing for this course may be best for drivability. Full aero is required if you want an aero setup to go very fast.

Vids are made in Adobe Premiere Pro v2 (old, I know...).

Mount is I/O Port.

California and another track. Why don't builders come down to sunny and beautiful Florida!

I thank for sharing too.
